Burnham Bear Festival

The Summer of 2008 saw the launch of the first Burnham Bear Festival just in time to celebrate Paddingtons 50th Birthday.

As a party was being thrown to celebrate Paddingtons 50th birthday in Burnham on Crouch he decided he would come along with some of his friends!

He had a fantastic time in Burnham, meeting some of the local residents, taking part in the Bear Trail, traditional sea side games and donkey rides along the Quay until he was kidnapped by Pirates. Paddington was captured, taken onboard a boat and taken down the River and the Pirates demanded a ransom for his release.

The town quickly got together and collectively raised over £100 for Paddingtons release and he was delivered back at his party just in time to cut his cake!!!

Planning for the second Bear Festival is currently underway and details will be announced here as soon as they are available.
