Skills for Care have introduced Common Induction Standards Training which is required for all new members of staff working in a care setting.
Course Content
The six mandatory induction standards are:
- Understand the principles of care
- Understand the organisation and the role of the worker
- Maintain safety at work
- Communicate effectively
- Recognise and respond to abuse and neglect
- Develop as a worker
With additional units/knowledge sets in the following subjects being available for individuals working in the appropriate areas:
- Dementia
- Nutrition and Wellbeing
- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
- Medication
- Infection Control
- Information for Non Care Workers
Six units can be completed in one day, consequently depending on your requirements of additional units a bespoke package can be established. Please call for details and a tailored programme to meet your requirements.
